CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA (October 13, 2026) – Saint Lucia is celebrating an extraordinary showing on the global tourism stage, with the destination and its tourism businesses capturing a sweeping collection of thirty-eight international honours across three of the travel industry’s leading awards programmes.

From honeymoons and adventure to luxury resorts, wellness, weddings and corporate retreats, Saint Lucia’s tourism sector has been recognised across an exceptional breadth of categories at the 2026 World Travel Awards, World MICE Awards and World Spa Awards.

Among the headline honours, Saint Lucia was named:

  • Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination 2026
  • Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2026
  • World’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination 2026
  • Caribbean’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination 2026

The recognition is extended well beyond the destination itself, with Saint Lucian hotels, resorts, tour operators, destination management companies, travel agencies, car rental companies and wellness providers also taking top honours across regional and national categories.

The results offer a powerful reflection of the depth and diversity of Saint Lucia’s tourism product, demonstrating the island’s ability to compete across multiple segments of the international travel market.

The World Travel Awards recognition alone spans luxury, romance, adventure, family travel, sustainability, accommodation, transportation and visitor experiences, with Saint Lucia’s tourism businesses securing leading titles across the Caribbean and Saint Lucia categories.

Among the notable winners were Anse Chastanet Resort, BodyHoliday, Caille Blanc Villa & Hotel, Cap Maison, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, Jade Mountain Resort, Ladera Resort, Rabot Hotel by Hotel Chocolat, Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, The Landings Resort and Spa, Ti Kaye Resort & Spa, Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences, and Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia.

The country’s tourism enterprises also captured major MICE honours, including Caribbean’s Best New MICE Hotel for Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Saint Lucia’s Best Incentive Hotel for Anse Chastanet, Saint Lucia’s Best MICE Hotel for Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Saint Lucia’s Best MICE Organiser for Barefoot Holidays.

The island’s wellness proposition also earned international recognition. At the 2026 World Spa Awards, Rainforest Spa at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort was named Saint Lucia’s Best Resort Spa, while TheLifeCo St. Lucia captured Saint Lucia’s Best Wellness Retreat.

The breadth of this year’s honours reflects a destination that cannot be defined by a single travel experience. Saint Lucia has long been celebrated as a romantic escape, with its dramatic Pitons, secluded beaches, luxury resorts and intimate experiences making it a natural choice for couples. Its latest awards, however, reinforce a broader proposition.

Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister of Tourism, Commerce, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage, said the awards reflect the deliberate and strategic work being undertaken to strengthen Saint Lucia’s global tourism presence and build meaningful international partnerships. “Saint Lucia is in her winning era. What began with a deliberate vision to strengthen our international partnerships and elevate the profile of our destination is now being reflected in major global recognition. These awards are a testament to the strength, diversity and growing sophistication of our tourism product. To be recognised across these niches and business travel is a tremendous honour. More importantly, it reflects the quality, creativity and commitment of our tourism industry and the pride that Saint Lucians take in sharing our island and our culture with the world.”

The latest honours bring Saint Lucia’s record to 17 wins for Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination and 4 wins for Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination, while its recognition as Caribbean’s Best Corporate Retreat Destination marks a second win following its 2024 title. The awards were presented during World Travel Week in Jamaica, with the World Travel Awards ceremony held on October 11 and the World MICE Awards on October 12, while the World Spa Awards announced its 2026 winners as part of the global awards season.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority extends appreciation to the island’s tourism community, including accommodation providers, tour operators, destination management companies, travel professionals, wellness providers, guides and attractions, as well as the travellers, travel advisors, media and industry partners who continue to champion Saint Lucia – Let Her Inspire You around the world.
