Gros Piton

A Journey Through the Island’s Landscape

Conquer the Gros Piton, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the island’s most iconic hiking challenge. Standing at 798 m (2,619 ft), the trail covers a 4 km round trip through lush emerald forests and volcanic terrain. The hike typically takes 4-6 hours, offering a moderate to challenging experience that rewards you with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the entire island coastline. A certified local guide is required to navigate the steep, rocky sections safely.

Petit Piton

The Island’s Most Intense Ascent

Standing at 743 m (2,438 ft), Petit Piton is the steeper, more technical twin of the two peaks. This is not a standard hike, but a rigorous 3.2 km round trip scramble that requires using fixed ropes to navigate vertical rock faces. Taking 3-5 hours, the ascent is rated as very challenging due to its exposed paths and intense incline. A professional guide is mandatory to safely reach the summit and enjoy the sheer-drop views of the coastline.
