Creole Heritage Month
Creole Heritage Month is one of Saint Lucia’s most meaningful celebrations of Creole culture, heritage and identity. Held throughout October, it brings communities together through Kwéyòl language, traditional music and dance, local cuisine, colourful madras dress and cultural events across the island. The month culminates with Jounen Kwéyòl, celebrating the traditions, flavours and stories that continue to shape Saint Lucian life. Explore the celebrations, traditions and cultural experiences that make Creole Heritage Month a special time to be in Saint Lucia.
